Setting up lan connection in windows 7

Those people who are working in office and are student and use internet from there campus they frequently need to setup LAN connection to there computer to access internet. Here I am explaining how to set up LAN connection in windows 7.
First go to control panel > network and Internet > network and sharing center > connect to a network  
if you don't see the icon there please check that local area network is enabled in adepter setting. To check 
network and sharing center and go to change adapter setting. and right click on the local area connection icon and enable it. 
Now come to "connect to a network" and  click on the lan icon and then go to properties and then choose ipv6 or ipv4 as applicable (at iisc ipv4) and then click properties > set ip address of your computer in ip address field and fillup subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server .

Subtitle in latex

There is no direct command to define subtitle in latex. But you can define the \subtitle command using titling package. To do this just insert the following code in the preamble of the latex file. \usepackage{titling} \newcommand{\subtitle}[1]{%   \posttitle{%     \par\end{center}     \begin{center}\large#1\end{center}     \vskip0.5em}% } And then you can define subtitle using the following command. \subtitle{Subtitle Here} This will show the subtitle bellow your title when you use \maketitle command. Placing float (table or figure) at the top of the page in otherwise empty page in LaTeX

In latex if a table is going to any empty page (page with only that table and no other text), the table is always aligned vertically centre. And that does not look good always. Even the float place holder like [t] or [ht] or [t!] kind of things does not work. But there is a work around, just paste the following code at the preamble of the document (before \begin{document} ); \makeatletter \setlength\@fptop{0\p@} \makeatother Hope this will solve the problem.
