Gmail manager extension

Gmail is now one of the most popular web base email provider. Now a days almost every one has more than one account. But from single browser we can't login to more than one Gmail account at a time. So if we want to switch between gmail account then we have to sign out from one account and then login to another. This is very tidius job. Fortunately there is an add-on which will solve this problem. In firefox I use Gmail Manager add-on to manage multiple gmail account. This add-on keep you loged in to two different account and will check for new mail on this account and notify you. You can switch btween the account by just one click. This is actually very useful add-on who have multiple account and all are importent.

Fortunately there is also an extension in google chrome also to do the same kind of job. Name, Symple mail checker for gmail. You can find it here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kdnecmelaimlfdenllncbigiljiaaimo . 

You are done. Now check multyple gmail happyly.

    In firefox 7, gmail manager was not working properly. I got a fix by using this link.
    https://github.com/downloads/athomas/mozilla-firefox-addons/gmail_manager-0.6.4.1.4-fx+sm.xpi
    though this is not a official update, it is working fine.
    Just copy and paste the link to your ff url bar and it will start downloading. After downloading just click install.

In this post I will discuss how to change the width of the figure caption. You can use the same technique to change the width of the other caption (like table caption). Here I am using the caption package. In caption package you can specify the width while loading the package or latter using \captionsetup command. Subtitle in latex

There is no direct command to define subtitle in latex. But you can define the \subtitle command using titling package. To do this just insert the following code in the preamble of the latex file. \usepackage{titling} \newcommand{\subtitle}[1]{%   \posttitle{%     \par\end{center}     \begin{center}\large#1\end{center}     \vskip0.5em}% } And then you can define subtitle using the following command. \subtitle{Subtitle Here} This will show the subtitle bellow your title when you use \maketitle command. Placing float (table or figure) at the top of the page in otherwise empty page in LaTeX

In latex if a table is going to any empty page (page with only that table and no other text), the table is always aligned vertically centre. And that does not look good always. Even the float place holder like [t] or [ht] or [t!] kind of things does not work. But there is a work around, just paste the following code at the preamble of the document (before \begin{document} ); \makeatletter \setlength\@fptop{0\p@} \makeatother Hope this will solve the problem.
