Ubuntu is one of the most popular Linux distro now. This is really simple to use and at the same time highly customizable. There is a very strong community support behind you. Lots of theme and software to use with it. Still you some time fill bad. Here I am telling some trick to enhance your experience. Menu: Ubuntu menu is one of the thing that most of the people don't like. And there are lots of menu to use like gnome main menu, gno menu and so on. But the menu that I like most is cardapio menu. New version of Ubuntu comes on every 6 month with most recent version of software and with, up to some extend, new look. If we don't want to continue with the old version of software and if bored with same look we want install the new version. If you want to upgrade your system then it is ok. But if you want a clean installation then you have to install all your required software and you have to do all setting ones again. This is very tedious job. Here are some tricks to simplify the job. First you can generate the list of installed software by using this command, dpkg --get-selections > installed-software This command will create a text file name installed-software. You can edit this file and if you want remove some software by simply deleting the line containing the name of the software. Now when you are installing Ubuntu do not format the home folder. There are many people who use dual booting and use two operating system together. Specially Linux and Windows. Most of the Linux user use Ubuntu. Ubuntu is very easy to use with very good interface. For dual booting with Ubuntu there is grubloader which loaded first and give you option which operating system you want to use. But some time you may destroy your grubloader. This generally happen when you repair your Windows os or reinstall the Window. In that case  You have to repair your grubloader again to get back your grubloader.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a cross platform desktop email client which support both IMAP and POP protocol. This is a free open-source software. You can install the English version of software from this site,  http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ . There are other language version also. Actually I have four email account in different provider, like Gmail, Yahoo and my Departmental email. So to check all email I have to open the different account.  Which is very boring and time consuming. So I use Desktop email client and check all mail together. Why I have chosen Mozilla thunder bird? There are other client like Outlook in window and Evolution Mail in Ubuntu (which is actually default client in Ubuntu). I use Googletoolbar for different purpose. It is very handy, we can save settings online. We can use google bookmark to save my bookmarks online and can use it from any computer having googletoolbar installed. It is a free small program provided by google. We can use variety site in just one click by using Google toolbar. Specially the sites like GMail, Google Calender, Blogger, Orkut and many other sites. This Buttons are provided by google and many other contributor around globe. I use GMail and Yahoo Mail, both simultaneously. So I want to save the Yahoo Mail link to my Google toolbar. I search the google toolbar button gallery for yahoo mail button. There are lots of button but not very good and they all have logo like a globe. Which does not look very good.
